One kitchen ingredient that brings positivity

“Salt is like good humor, and nearly everything is better with a pinch of it”
– Louisa May Alcott

Hello peeps!

This post is scheduled to be published while I’m vacationing in Goa!
I have one very important message for you all – It’s a very special New Moon night (4th June) – a powerful time to manifest your desires. Set intentions today and see them coming true sooner than ever 🙂
All you need to do is write your desires (big and small) out on a piece of paper, and feel the emotions of having received them already. Extra points if you meditate.
So what are you manifesting this month?

What Next?

Now that you’ve gone ahead and bought yourself a pack of unrefined sea salt, here are some other amazing uses you can put it to. If you haven’t yet, you can also use normal table salt for most of the below mentioned ideas.

A pinch of Salt

You will be amazed to know the benefits of salt (yes, salt!) in removing negativity from your house as well as your life. The best type of salt for the purpose would be unrefined sea/pink salt.

The salt looks slightly pink in color and says ‘unrefined’ on the pack, as I mentioned in my post Review: Salt Water FlushIn case you missed it, here’s what I bought off Amazon.

And here’s how you can use it in your daily life to remove negativity and to detoxify –

Absorb negative vibes

Something as easy as putting a few teaspoons of salt in a bowl in one corner of your room/house can attract all negativity. If you don’t have sea salt, you can also do this using regular table salt. Be sure to remove/change the salt every few days.

Wipe floors

Another easy way is to add a handful of salt to the water before wiping the floors. By the same logic as the point before, it helps absorb negative energy and leaves the house clean and fresh! Again, you can use regular salt for this purpose. We use salt water to wipe our houses before Diwali (the Indian festival of lights) every year.

As a bath salt

The salt replenishes the skin and relaxes sore muscles, making it the perfect ingredient for that rejuvenating bath you’ve been craving for. Toss in a handful of Himalayan sea salt and soak in 🙂

In your food

Replace refined salt with this pure and healthier version. It has trace minerals such as magnesium and potassium, and is said to regulate the pH balance of the water content in our bodies.

As a body scrub

Mix a quarter cup of salt (table will also do) with half a cup of olive oil. Scrub in circular motion. It is a great way to exfoliate, get rid of dead skin and soften the skin.

To detox

In case you missed my full post on the salt water flush or SWF, here’s the short version – it is a way to completely flush out all toxins from your body! An intense detox, this became famous via the Master Cleanse, a lemonade/juice fast widely accredited by celebrities and normal people alike. Now, I do not suggest doing the entire Master Cleanse, but you should definitely give the SWF a shot! This is one of the only flushes that is said to detox your entire digestive system – right down to your colon. It works wonders.
