A lot of things happened in August.
I finally got my hands on the Game of Thrones coloring book! Yayy!
Among other things, I made this sketch for a US based ice cream company which wanted a handmade logo 🙂
And this sketch on Goa:
Books I read in August
Harry Potter & the Cursed Child – J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany (♥♥)
Good, but not great (in respect to the entire series – review here
Recommended for: Potterheads, play lovers
The Girl on the Train – Paula Hawkins (♥♥♥)
A psychological thriller with a couple of unsettling characters
Recommended for: Dark lit/psy thriller lovers, people who loved Gone Girl (which was much better in comparison, though)
Catch 22 – Joseph Heller (♥)
Frankly, a let down, after all the hype surrounding it: too descriptive – a long rant
Recommended for: War lovers, patient readers
The Glass Castle – Jeanette Walls (♥♥♥♥)
Very different: a true story – heart touching in its pathos; the story of a young girl’s tribulations with her poverty stricken dysfunctional family
Recommended for: Emotional readers, memoir lovers
We Need to Talk About Kevin – Lionel Shriver (♥♥♥♥)
Another dark book – it started a bit slow but gets amazing so fast, I couldn’t put it down
An epistolary work describing the struggle of a mother who cannot get herself to love her psychotic son and the choices he makes
Recommended for:Â Dark lit/psy thriller lovers, women

I also baked this yummy brownie –
