2018 – a year of halves

2018 was a year of halves. Like always in life, some bits were exciting and fun while others were hectic and dull. But as they say, it’s only when both the halves merge that the perfect whole is created – without darkness, light has no meaning.

And what better way to portray this than with this Mandala created by me, my very first attempt at one?

Looking back, 2018 was a year of settling in a new city, a new job, making new friends, meeting new people, taking my SoulSpeak tarot practice to a higher level, and trying new things – from boardgame meetups to hosting events to starting my first book. A year where I kick-started my traveling after a couple years of lull – Coorg, Chikmagalur, Mumbai, and Thailand. A year when I found myself more in the limelight than ever before. A year when I had the opportunity to meet many of my oldest friends, who visited me from all parts of the country, as also my ever loving family. I’m grateful for all this and more.

And yet, for some unknown reason, it felt like the year was a year of transition, of the calm before the storm, of getting ready for bigger things to come. Hope I am right. Hope 2019 brings with it all that I’ve dreamt of and more. Wish everyone who’s reading this a bright and prosperous 2019.

Love and light!
Happy New Year folks!
