“We lose ourselves in books, we find ourselves there too”
I have a very long-standing friendship with books; as a child, I would devour whatever books I could lay my hands on -Enid Blyton, Carolyn Keene, Daphne du Maurier, Alfred Hitchcock, R.L. Stine, Agatha Christie, timeless classics, short stories from across the world, books by Russian authors, Hindi authors, comics like Tintin, Tinkle, non-fiction, and even magazines like Champak and Nandan (when travelling by train!). As I grew up, I took to reading non-fiction as well.
All in all, literature of any kind fascinates me while my favorite genres include Literary fiction and Inspirational non-fiction.
As I’ve already mentioned in one of my posts, I thank my mother for cultivating this interest in me, and for encouraging me always, and my father for never saying “no” to anything – for letting me buy as many books as I ever wanted; ‘coz without reading, I would be, but a hollow version of what I am today ♥
In this section of my blog, I plan to write book reviews, discuss my favorite books, authors, discover new ones, and maybe write a few pieces of my own 🙂
