As anyone close to me already knows, I am an ardent believer in the Law of Attraction which, in its simplest form can be explained by “thoughts become things”.
I owe pretty much everything in my life to this law. This law literally governs my life. And I thought, why not share it with the rest of the world? For all those people who feel my life seems sorted or easy, here’s my secret 🙂
I’m sure you must already have heard of this from the movie/book “The Secret”. In case you haven’t, or would like to know more, I am going to explain the Law of Attraction in very simple terms over the next few posts.
The Law of Attraction
It’s called a Law because it always works – whether you realize it or not, you are always exercising it. You attract whatever you think about and focus on. By that logic, nothing is by chance, and everything that happens to you is attracted by you. It naturally follows that in order to change your life, you need to change your thoughts.
Before you begin to question the validity of the concept, look back at your life and recall all the big things that happened to you. You will surely see that at some time or the other, those things first came to you as thoughts. remember looking at pictures of my classmates in Europe and thinking – Wow! I so wish I was there! BAM! A year down the lane, I was in UK! And there are so many such things I have made possible over the years! And it’s not just the big things. The tiny things too – they all came to consciousness as thoughts first.
At the risk of sounding ridiculously simple, here’s the process – focus on what you want, feel/behave as if you already have it, and then letting go. The last bit is the most important, and probably the major step where people trip. Think of it as letting a few balloons go up in the air!
The book “The Secret” suggests starting with something simple and inconsequential such as a feather/a flower/a coin. Just focus on it and then let go, and get on with your work. Sooner or later, you will come across it. Once your belief is strengthened, you can move on to bigger things.
Haven’t you all experienced times when you think of someone, only to get a call/message from them just a little later? That’s the law at work 🙂
The easiest way to make this work for you is to start thinking more positive thoughts. As long as more than 50% of your thoughts are positive, you will attract good things into your life. If it isn’t easy for you to pretend you have what you desire, I have a tip – just try to feel as if the Universe is on your side and supports you. Just this simple thought is enough to tilt things in your favour.
For this week, simply trust the Universe. Just start to believe that good things can and will happen to you – a thought most people struggle with, as is evident from my interaction with tarot clients over the years. For some reason, most of us find it way too easier to believe that “good things don’t happen to me”, or “something so good cannot be true”. Let’s just try to change this thought pattern this week. Tell yourself that good things happen to you and start looking for the positives in every situation.

I love this idea. I’ve heard of it before however only practice subconsciously I think. I need to be more intentional and present though. I can say it works. I believe if you speak things into existence, it will come to pass! Lovely post.
